    Date Reviewed: April 16, 2003
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
Weaknesses:needed trueing 3 times in 10 months and six of he spoke holes have cracks congruent with the axis of the rim on both sides of each hole
    Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:trek 7300 stock other than a set of wellgo dual sided (spd/plain) pedals
Bottom Line:only 1300 miles on this set. my commuting is all urban, 220 pound rider, 30 pounds of gear daily, not too abusive. possibly a tension problem? think I'll try something in a 700c on the rear by RITCHEY.

    Date Reviewed: January 16, 2002
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:Well suited to its purpose (touring)
    strong
    stays true
Weaknesses:I guess its heavier than other road rims, but if you want something that will hold up to loaded touring, it has to be a little beefier.
Similar Products Used:this is the only road bike I've had. My firend, however, has a touring bike with mavic touring rims--seem about the same.
    Bike Setup:trek 520 basically stock
Bottom Line:I use this bike for my daily commute, which includes carrying carrying over twenty lbs of books and gear, as well as loaded touring, which includes carrying over thirty lbs of gear--not to mention the occaisional streych of singletrack. These rims have held up well. If you are looking for something light or racy-- look elsewhere, but if your looking for a rim that wil hold up to a load and some abuse, this is a good choice. Mine have about three thousand load bearing miles, and they are still fairly true (rear is about due for a true and tension though--better get that done soon)
