Description:Our newest platform pedal has been completely redesigned! The shaft and the center of the pedal body have been reduced in size to give your foot a more natural, concave feel. The pedal is now in the shape of a parallelogram which makes getting your feet back on the pedals easier. Finally, we have changed the pin shape and put more of them on the pedals to provide ultimate traction. If you thought our platform pedals were good before, you'll think these are the greatest 6061T6 aluminum pedals ever made.

James, To be honest, I don't know if our pins will work with the DX pedals or not. Since we make everything here in the states, all of our thread pitches are American Standard where Shimano is Metric. I don't think they will work. Thanks for checking in with us. We look forward to hearing from you on the round pedals! Gents/ladies.......I own a pair of Shimano DX platform pedals(yeah I should have bought yours), well...anyways the screw in pins they provide can not take a beating. Would I be able to adapt my pedals to your pins?
p.s. for X-MAS I'm asking for your mini round pedal.Mini Round Pedal

from kinderhook, NY Date Reviewed: March 14, 2000 | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | bearings are smooth as hell; replaceable cage; grippy; big platform; nice appearance | | Weaknesses: | uses a weird sized pedal wrench; no small pins or spikes in center of platform | | Bike Setup: | santa cruz bullit, jr. t, hayes | | Bottom Line: | if you plan on using these pedals, do yourself a favor and make sure you wear shin guards that cover your entire shin. nasty scars reward the unprotected pedal slip. very good platform, and grips my shoe just like it grips your flesh if you slip off (which doesn't happen too often). these are the smoothest-spinning pedals i've ever used. i like the replaceable cage. good pedal. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

a Downhiller
from Portland, ME Date Reviewed: November 17, 1999 | | Favorite Trail: | Sunday River DH | | Duration Product Used: | tested or demo'ed only | | Strengths: | They look pretty cool | | Weaknesses: | Performance is terrible Customer service is worse | | Similar Products Used: | Ringle Zuzu Kore Platforms | | Bike Setup: | Karpiel Disco with the usual DH goodies | | Bottom Line: | SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. $110 is a lot to pay for any pedal, much less a platform with no moving parts. I bought these thinking that, for that kind of dough, I'd be getting something that really gripped my shoe and was put together very well.I was very disappointed to open the package and find that Crupi short-changed me on pins. For the money, I was expecting not only *enough* pins to properly assemble the pedals, but extras to replace ones that wore out. Well, I assembled the pedals with the few pins provided (there were enough to complete one side of each pedal) and took them for a test ride. They sucked. My feet didn't get very good traction at all, despite trying three different pairs of shoes with varying soles. What ticked me off even more was that I wrote to the company requesting that more pins be sent to me, and Crupi's jack@ss owner, Greg Swingrover, wrote back basically accusing me of being dishonest and belligerent. He suggested that I should have to show a proof of purchase before the pins would be sent. My question was, what the hell would I do with the pins if I didn't own the pedals in the first place? Greg's response was to insult me via Email. Pretty professional, huh?I returned the pedals and spent my money on a better brand (Kore). My advice to people thinking about buying this product is to spend your money elsewhere. My $35 Ringles worked much better than the Crupis. If you want to drop some serious cash on a really quality set of pedals, get the Brooklyns, the Eastons, or the Kores. The Crupis are an inferior product sold by a company that cares nothing about customer service. | Overall Rating: |

from Minneapolis, MN Date Reviewed: August 13, 1999 | | Duration Product Used: | less than 1 month | | Strengths: | Everything on the pedal can be replaced - if you can brake it. Superb craftsmanship on the platform, spindle, sealed cartridge bearings and the replaceable studs. | | Weaknesses: | The studs are about 2.5mm tall and they eat your shins and shoes alive! | | Similar Products Used: | Cheap Wellgo platforms. | | Bike Setup: | Santa Cruz Chameleon, White Brothers DS90 Triple Clamp fork, MRP, Race Face DH stem and crank, XT/XTR | | Bottom Line: | This is best pedal on the market for Dual Salom/Dirt Jumpin you can buy!
