$250.00 | | Purchased At: | Joe's Sports and Outdoor | | Strengths: | Frame strength and geometry. Small enough to whip through the dense Oregon woods and still stable @ any angle. | | Weaknesses: | ALL of the parts. Pedals stink, fork stinks, drivetrain stinks, brakes stink (your forearms are tired way before your legs) | | Similar Products Used: | first bike in this category owned. | | Bike Setup: | Atomlab trailpimp pedals, DJ2 fork, code 5 brakes on the way, converted to single speed (do people still go UP hills?) | | Bottom Line: | From boulder strewn DH runs to shore style riding @ Post or Blackrock I impress myself every time I ride it. I bought it cuz it was on clearance and i thought it looked neat but thanks to the Sport Services crew @ Joes and the guys at Trailhead cycles this bike has introduced me to the best(my opinion) type of riding on the planet.........FREERIDE!! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$500.00 | | Purchased At: | Amazon.com | | Strengths: | Very good quality frame, decent rims and tires, good front suspension. | | Weaknesses: | Weak brakes, cheap seat and seat post, cheap handbar grip, and heavy. | | Bike Setup: | All stock except replaced with Avid BB7 brakes and FSA seat post. Also replaced grips. Shimano shifters are fragile and break very easily on impact. | | Bottom Line: | Good for the regular biker who needs a good and reliable bike and can tackle moderate trails. I would advise spending a good amount upgrading the brakes to something more solid if you want to stop quickly and want brakes that last more than a couple weeks; I use it more as transportation than trails compared to most people though. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$450.00 | | Purchased At: | supergo | | Strengths: | Super strong and great for beating on. The best thing about this bike is the frame. That's the only reason I bought it. | | Weaknesses: | The components. The fork is worthless , but with that said I bought the bike for the frame and put my own stuff on it and now it's one of the best bikes I've owned. | | Similar Products Used: | Banshee scirocco | | Bike Setup: | Sram X-9 shifters,X-9 rear derailleur,Sram Pg 990 cassette, sram pc 991 chain,Crank bros. mallets,Shimano xt front derailleur, Marzocchi Drop Off duel air fork and a Wtb saddle. The rest is stock. | | Bottom Line: | This bike is perfect if your a clydesdale racer, a heavy rider who like to eat carbs, or if you like downhill hardtails. If your one of those lucky people that can eat whatever you want and never get to 200 lbs this bike isn't for you. It's a little heavy but it pedales so well it feels like a 25lbs bike.(That's after you change the fork) That's saying a lot for a big bike like it is. I love this bike it's like a tank going downhill but handles uphill climbes like a xc bike. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
