$2000.00 | | Strengths: | lightweight AND 7" of travel; very plush on DH and very responsive on climbs/sprinting: strong; fast - all that have ridden mine have commented how fast this bike is ... let go of the brakes and it goes!!! ; looks aggressive | | Weaknesses: | if you are concerned about what other people think, than the monocoque/old school frame is not for you. Monocoque frames are light/strong but noisy (although the Brodie is fairly quiet - not like the old Norco's); and they look COOL | | Similar Products Used: | Brodie Libido --- sucked! because of the the coil-over shock ..... air shocks are superior in EVERY way .. except maybe on HUGE drops | | Bike Setup: | stock .. except for Magura 4-piston brakes ( I hate Hayes!) | | Bottom Line: | Most excellent ride .. was perfect for Whistler. Can be gotten cheap now - used. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$2150.00 | | Purchased At: | online The Bicycle Shop ,Canada | | Strengths: | Got a great deal!Tough as nails... great parts spec. killer looks!(yeah,- you know that's important) | | Weaknesses: | not the bikes fault, just keep an eye on bolts coming loose especially the floating brake arm...locktite!! | | Similar Products Used: | Specialized Enduro comp 05 | | Bike Setup: | 2005 model.Bone stock except changed out 50mm Truvative Holzfeller stem for a 90mm FSA to help climbing, Race face X type evolve DH cranks, Manitou Sherman 170, Fox AVA float, Titec teliscoping seatpost, Syncros rims, 7000 series aluminum frame, Truvative bars, Hayes HFX 9, WTB Timberwolf 2.5" tires and laser seat. | | Bottom Line: | After experiencing multiple problems with my last(new) bike, I got it right with this one! It has taken a beating... and averted a potentially ripped rear brake line due to a bolt coming loose from the floating brake arm while riding downhill in Moab, I just pulled off the arm rotated the caliper back to it's proper position stowed the parts in my camelback and continued with the front brake and enjoyed the rest of the ride. The Brodie delivers as a solid all mountain / freeride rig. Super stiff single pivot design in rear, and 20mm axle up front makes for a burley bike for the clydesdale rider. At 40 lbs. getting uphill will work you, but going down you can hang it all out with confidence! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
