from Singapore Date Reviewed: October 13, 1999 | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Strengths: | No Flex~! Techo yet Simple looks. Cheap - Got'em for $20 at Rotospeed~! | | Weaknesses: | The spacers are ment for cantis and they place the booster far out from the V-Brakes. | | Similar Products Used: | Treko / AC | | Bike Setup: | Santa Cruz Heckler Marzocchi Z1 Bam XT/XTR, SDG, Thomson, Sun Rhyno Lites, Azonic, Titec, Gore Ride-Ons | | Bottom Line: | Really cool little do-hickies. I got'em for my rear to stiffen up the swingarm during high braking preasure. Recently put one on the front - hope that'll improve the stiffness of the Z1. Tech note: you can cut the mounting screws shorter and use a thinner spacer to bring the booster closer to the V-Brakes as they don't need as much clearance as cantis. Bringing'em closer also increases the stifness of the booster~! Overall a nice product that performs well enough that you can forget about it. 5 Burning inner tubes~! | Overall Rating: |
