Description:Saguaro, the new tyre from Geax 2007 range, has been choosed as a top performing tyre for different grounds. It’s perfect for muddy trails as the ones found in 24h Strathpeffer’s race (Scotland), a mixture of forest road climbs, slippery and root-strewn narrow tracks, together with several rock gardens and wooden bridges. It has performed superbly also on harder and rocky grounds, full of stones in a desert background, between canyons and dry streams, such as the trails in Mas Palomas (Gran Canaria) during the world marathon race.

Available in TNT, UST, foldable and rigid, for the 29” riders a 2.20 version in available.

    Favorite Trail:my yard
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $35.00
    Purchased At:Jenson I think
Strengths:Very good in dry conditions, rolls pretty quickly, fairly light.
Weaknesses:difficult to mount straight when tubeless
    Similar Products Used:lots
    Bike Setup:GF Paragon g2
Bottom Line:This is a very good dry conditions tire, it rolls well, grips well, has good trail feel and a pretty thick cap to reduce punctures. I run it tubeless with stans at 22psi (I weigh 175) and it grips really well in everything but gravel where it doesn't have tall enough knobs to find traction. It's pretty decent in sand and excellent in northern California good traction loose soil. I've had very good luck with it in very rocky southern california conditions, I just have to watch out for loose over hard or deep gravel as it doesn't have a deep tread like a Nevegal or other more aggressive tire.
It was very difficult to mount this tire tubeless as it wouldn't go on straight. I had to use a compressor and mount and remount it about 10 times before the bead finally settled in a mostly straight way. I was glad I have the injector as setting it up with tons of soapy water to set the bead then injecting through the stem was difficult enough, I couldn't imagine trying to remove the bead to put it in then trying to set that bead back straight.

Bottom Line:Its huge for a 2.2' tire. its a very reliable tire in almost everything except mud because it doesnt clear well. But then what does other then a mud specific tire. Really like this tire on the back with a panaracer rampage up front.

    Purchased At:Jenson USA
    Strengths:Very Fast
    Great Grips in Dry
    Great Rear Tire
    Looks Cool
    Weaknesses:Not good in wet
    Expensive(relatively)
Similar Products Used:Rampage, ExiWolf, SB8, ACX, XR, Nano, etc.
    Bike Setup:Haro Mary SS
Bottom Line:These tires are great for dry, but if you are regularly in wet conditions, you may want to look elsewhere. The tire has great bite in dry, accelerates and holdds speed, and is in general a great dry tire.

    Favorite Trail:Oak Mountain
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $35.00
    Purchased At:Universal Cycle
Strengths:Great volume, low rolling resistance, outstanding construction, wears very well, seals up easily with Stans, clears sandy type mud well
Weaknesses:Because it wears well, it'll suffer a little in loose over hard b/c the rubber compound is a little hard, doesn't clear tacky mud well.
    Similar Products Used:Maxxis Crossmark 29", WTB WeirWolf 2.55LT 29", Maxxis Ignitor 29"
Bike Setup:Astrix Rook, Hope Pro2 hubs, Stans Flow rims, XTR derailleur, Truvativ FireX crank, 34T chainring, set up 1x6
Bottom Line:This is a great tire. It's flaw comes in loose over rough as the tread is not deep enough to penetrate but for most conditions, very solid performer. I've used it both on the front and the back. On the back, in the traction direction, great out of the seat traction with minimal loss of braking traction. Up front, in the speed direction, great tracking and rolling.

I ran this mainly in the back, paired with a WeirWolf 2.55 LT up front this summer and enjoyed that combination. Currently running it up front with a Crossmark out back and can't complain either.

As long as your terrain doesn't require a more significant tread bite like the Rampage would offer, this will work great for you.

    Favorite Trail:Peterson Ridge
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $35.00
    Purchased At:Webcyclery
Strengths:Volume, relatively light, rolls climbs and corners well.
    Weaknesses:My fave tire, no complaints
Similar Products Used:in 29": WTB Motoraptor, Maxxis Ignitor, Kenda Klaw
Bike Setup:ti 29er Titus Racer-X, Thompson post and stem, Reba, Pushed rp23, full XTR drivetrain.
Bottom Line:Hook up well in corners, and skid predictably as well. Confidence inspiring. Big tire for only 600 something grams. Local trails at the moment are smooth firm moist dirt where just about anything works great, but I liked em just as well in this summer's sand. Sealed up perfectly first shot with Stan's...love that stuff!
